A big thank you to Michael and Maree Nasser in Atherton for being great supporters of the FHC cause.
Michael and Maree own and run the Barron Valley Hotel in Atherton, which has been in the Nasser family for over 90 years. It’s a family pub and they kindly donate their eligible cans and bottles to FHC. Tim and Mary Frances collect the recyclables each week and cash them in at the local “Return It” depot.
This pub alone brings in about $80 a week, which in turn goes straight to the hostel in Batase village to help care for our students living there.
When you are next in Atherton, make time to visit this beautiful old pub. Your empty bottles and cans will be going to a great cause.
