When Jonathan visits Batase village from Cairns, he brings with him donated goods from you – FHC supporters. On this trip he has two deliveries to make. First stop is a maternity hospital in the beautiful river community of Melamchi. FHC friends have worked hard to knit very useful and needed woolen items for the mothers of new-borns there. We were greeted by very-appreciative hospital staff.
The next stop is a medical centre in Kathmandu. When FHC receives more donated clothing than we need for the kids we care for, we find other uses for them. ‘Khagendra New Life Home’ is a special place offering support and care to long-term residents who live with mental and physical disabilities. Our contact there is Krishna, who is a beautiful young man crippled and wheelchair bound from a tragic accident. We thank him for his help.
And thank you to our FHC friends for donating the clothing and knitted goods.
