Roshni (left) and Roshan Tamang
Roshni and Roshan Tamang have faced hardship already in their young lives. Sadly their story is not unusual in this part of the world but from their difficulties comes a story of strength and hope.
Roshni and Roshan are siblings from Ullerni, Helambu-4. Life hasn’t been easy for them. Tragically, their mother died while she was working abroad to support the family. Since then their father has been doing his best but it’s been very difficult to manage their education and daily needs on his own. The school in their village only goes to Grade 5 so for further studies, they must travel far.
Roshni currently lives with her grandfather in Batase village, while Roshan walks an incredible 16 kilometers every day – 8kms each way – to attend school in Batase. Despite the long journey he never misses a day, showing remarkable dedication and strength for someone so young.
FHC can help.
“We are honored to support these two brave children. Soon, they will be joining our Hostel where they’ll have a safe environment, access to education, nutritious meals, and the emotional support every child deserves. We are currently working on the paperwork to welcome them officially.Your love and support make stories like theirs possible. Let’s continue to build brighter futures – one child at a time.” Anil (FHC President)
